If you have made some solitary progress in becoming a genuine Nagual, then you must teach your Tonal, your social self of the everyday world of endless human folly, to be a Warrior-traveler of Spirit Integrity, which means you stop going into shock and dismay every time you discover yet again that some petty and all-too-normal person cannot perceive or appreciate your secret knowledge, your amazing personal adventures in the higher attentions or the genuine insights you have developed about all this over the years.  Think about this: what is the thing bubbling and pressuring you within your own Tonal that makes you believe you even need certain immature, foolish and undeveloped people to recognize, appreciate and attempt to awkwardly and stupidly exploit you or form a personal dependency on you?  What would their acknowledgement and appreciation be worth?  If worthless, unprepared voluntary exploiters were to admire you and try to follow you in your brand of Nagual Shamanism, what could you actually show to such blind, indecisive, confused and selfish people that they could actually see and make real and right use of?  Where would they sincerely allow you to lead them the moment the ensuing situation is uncomfortable to them and does not match their own useless opinions and “understandings” about all this?

I want you to be unmistakably clear in the Totality of Yourself that it is fundamentally self-defeating and uncontrolled folly to actually manage to impress and influence worthless people. Look at what has happened to Miguel Ruiz, Merilyn Tunneshende and other outer cult leaders who bloat their over-inflated Tonals as popular attractors of silly, gullible and worthless people who will never in a million years become Naguals of Spirit Freedom.  Expansion of your shamanistic Tonal only drowns your Nagual Spirit in the folly of blind, normal sociological turmoil.  So your real problem is not how to attract immature volunteers, but how to avoid them, to repel them.  You must only help out the genuine potential Nagual whom the Spirit brings you, just as Castaneda was brought to Don Juan, and Don Juan to Don Julian, and Don Julian to Don Elias, and Don Elias to Don Rosendo, and so on, which is the viability and strength of Spirit-selected lineage.  This is your attunement to the Edifice of Intent, the Active Side of Infinity.  Do not forget this!  Remember that you must at all times be a Stalker, a Master of Controlled Folly.  Look how Tunneshende is all New Age Dreaming and Healing without Stalking and Nagual Freedom.  Instead of losing self-importance, she and her followers only increase it and cultivate it.  No valid and viable new lineage can emerge through any Nagual-connected person who is ever seeking ways to get people to hear them, to be impressed, and to answer the advertisement and try to follow.  That all sorts of contacts of yours have failed to be impressed by you is an immense advantage for your Spirit.  The real operational Spirit-fact for you is that none of those foolish idiots actually impress you.  They are not Real people, which means they would only suck you dry in your endless efforts to get them into a heightened awareness and energetic state they just haven’t got in them.

It was not directly cancer that killed Carlos Castaneda; it was his debilitating group situations where he was trying to make a business out of transmitting the Magical Passes through Tensegrity.  Tensegrity killed Carlos Castaneda.  Whoever leads come-one come-all group classes in anything is doomed and damned, for that opens the doors to the Hell of Tonal Expansion at the cost of the Spirit.  The Magical Passes are a wonderful, indispensable thing, but group work with the immature should be avoided.

All of us who have benefited so greatly from the Castaneda books on the teachings and methods of the Naguals of Mexico owe it to ourselves to not go the way of Tonal expansion and cult-building in all this.  The Bird of Freedom is not for sale!  Whoever tries to sell the Bird of Freedom loses their freedom and becomes vainglorious food for the Eagle, another recycled human being who didn’t make it to anything Real and Permanent.

The invisible network of lone Naguals can and will take all this farther as Inheritors.  This is our sacred duty to ourselves, not to try to impress and gather useless volunteers.
