Though humanity has to be stupid and insane, you do not have to be stupid and insane.  Human beings on the whole are weak and empty, lacking in real individuality.  If you are a real individual, you can be aware of anything in your present being that is stupid and insane.  This very awareness will set you free for more intelligent inquiry and action that are characteristic of a higher and more dynamic life that does not just drift in conformity to the societal normalcy that is being led to destruction by their stupid and insane leaders.

Whatever your destiny, your karmic path through life, you have a choice as to what level in your being you confront it with.  The higher the level in yourself with which you process the world and other people, the more rapidly you exhaust your karmas and generate alternative opportunities for yourself beyond the mechanisms of karmic destiny.

The most important step in destiny-control is to awaken greater awareness beyond your usual stupid insanity.  Your usual stupid insanity is kept going by your daydreaming.  Can you see this?  When you are daydreaming, you do not see that you are inwardly asleep, that you are letting yourself drift toward personal difficulty and disaster.  Through daydreaming you lose your individuality, you evaporate into the dark, heavy clouds of ordinary frustration, helplessness about the world, anxiety, depression and useless anger.  It is through your daydreaming that you neglect your necessary self-care, your health and your self-improvement.  Will you therefore now wake-up to the full truth and awareness of your daydreaming?

As a daydreamer you can be a member of a family, you can identify with your relatives, you can coddle your personal history of familiar family stupidity and insanity, the peculiar genetic lineage coming down from the physical, bodily past.  As an awakening individual, you are introducing a discontinuity in the past, a surprising emergence with a life and destiny of your own; you are no longer a member of a family, a community, a society of even a nation; you are a global explorer; you can even contemplate humanic life on other worlds as possibly more intelligent and less insane than ordinary human life on Earth; you begin to understand what the Buddhist Siddhas called, “the realm of the Dakinis”.

As you begin to truly awaken and move beyond normalcy, beyond membership in the ordinary patterns of stupidity, insanity and futility, you experience inevitable confusion and a sense of isolation.  You then seek a miraculous guide, a superhuman human somewhere, as well as associates and a situation on a higher level for satisfaction of needs and life-support.  This then can lead you into error, into misjudgment and debilitating entanglement with a false and incomplete guide and involvement with members of a cult who are, in their own peculiar way, just as stupid and insane as ordinary members of society, but with the mere addition of some exotic beliefs, environments or ways of behaving that have nothing much to do with genuine higher awareness, learning or development.  These kind of mistaken involvements are invariably rooted in old personal stupidities and insanities that have not been seen and corrected.  There are many ways that your beginner’s awakening can be distracted and sent on a prolonged detour.  In fact, this is part of what you have to wake up from.  There are unusual and rather occult forms of daydreaming for people who blindly seek and imagine they have found a genuine road of association with the miraculous, the occultly advanced.  Exotic forms of mutual daydreaming are available.  They are cults; they are authoritarian exclusive traditions.

If you are aware of the danger of false guides, of cults and exclusive traditions, you may of course try to shun all guides and spiritual associations; you may try to tough it out in proud, argumentative isolation, criticizing anyone or anything you have met or even heard of.  But various kinds of personal stupidity and insanity can possess and control you in this way also.  In fact, it tends to degenerate into a return to normalcy, to daydreaming and self-neglect, to drifting in stagnation and a kind of bitter cynicism.  One can be, for instance, “liberated from a cult” but fail to be liberated from one’s own debilitating faults, false virtues, weaknesses, ignorance, lack of crucial studies and practices, and, especially, one’s learning disabilities. 

Do you understand yourself in all this?  Do you know what your real spiritual strengths and weaknesses, dangers and opportunities actually are?  Or do you just pretend you know yourself in order to keep going in a certain pattern of life that you have achieved with some difficulty, some struggles and adjustments?

You are here on Earth at this time not just for your personal miraculous development but to do your God-given work of service to the whole of higher human evolution.  Can you see that no form of seemingly advanced daydreaming and laziness is going to get the job done?  Can you recognize your own right work and do it?  And can you do that work without making it into an escape from overriding issues, investigations and necessary self-improvements or meditations beyond mere self-enclosing daydreams or just keeping busy?  If one is not doing one’s right work; if one is not living a spiritually dynamic life of work, study, tantric intensification and genuine meditative awareness; one will just stupidly rot in personal stagnation, in complaining and all-too-normal escapism.

Are you aware that you do not have to impress others, to socially gain or “be somebody”?  Society, which includes the social spiritual scene, will always try to tell you that you must become impressive in some way.  Yet you can be spiritually anonymous and not be anybody at all in the eyes of society, of most people, and yet be both successful and developmental.  Can you see the importance of this, of learning to work and associate behind the scenes without joining the illusory mirage of the respectable worldly people or the silly and futile nonsense of the spiritual show-offs?  Do you see the significance of personal integrity, of being a real human being who does not cultivate false relationships with false people either in the worldly field or the spiritual field?  Can you see that any false relationship about anything only reinforces your stupidity, insanity and daydreaming?

If you have been giving deep enough attention to all this, you know you are waking up to some new decisions you have to make about yourself and your life.  This means that whatever answers you are given, whatever teachings impress you, you must still look with your own eyes, feel with your own experiencing.  The more you see and experience directly for and within yourself, the stronger you will be in doing the necessary actions about what you see and experience.  This is the necessary awakening of a greater personal dynamic, which will be your new and more promising way forward.  And this is the only way to participate in higher cosmic connectivity beyond all the dull normalcy, pretence and futility of empty, silly and lazy people who surround you at times in various walks of life; this is the only way beyond encounters with smug, arrogant and misleading other people, with false guides and pretenders; this is the only way beyond the stagnating complainers and the avoiders of real responsibility.
