One of the great purposes of any given Note Session is to increase your creative intelligence.   Therefore, the purpose of this First Note today is for you to somehow locate something like an organ of creative intelligence in your cognitive system so that we can give it nourishment and exercise.

This note is for any reader who imagines that some form of academic research can eventually trigger important new ideas through extended logic.  Do not go on to the next note unless you can see that reading lots of books and articles in and around a subject will in no way automatically lend itself to creative thinking about the subject.

This note is for any reader who imagines that merely borrowing and stealing great ideas from impressive, popular sources will somehow automatically trigger great ideas of one’s own.  Do not go on to the next note unless you can see that copying and imitation do not lead to original or creative ideas of one’s own.

This note is for any reader who imagines that just sitting back zonked-out in an easy chair waiting for an inspiration to come will trigger creative intelligence.   Do not go on to the next note if you cannot see that passive waiting for inspiration is a fatal mental laziness.

This note is for any reader who imagines that the best way to learn to be intelligent and innovative in their thinking is to spend a big period of time with a highly intelligent and creative thinker and collect great new ideas and insights that such a person spouts out when feeling inspired.   Do not go on to the next note if you cannot see that passive listening to someone else’s active original thinking will in no way of itself trigger original thinking of your own.

This note is for anyone who imagines that gathering a group of mediocre people together to do “brainstorming” or any other group cognitive technique will automatically turn them as a group into the equivalent of one, single creative thinker.  Do not go on to the next note if you cannot see that gathering non-original, uncreative people into a group technique will not make them into creatively intelligent original thinkers, whether individually or as a whole.  There is no way to massage group dullness and stupidity into creative intelligence.  Only existing creative intelligence in the individual participants could be stimulated into greater activation by a teacher/facilitator operating on a high level of creative intelligence.  Is this clear?

This note is about the fact that there are techniques of self-activation of creative intelligence and higher intuition.  Do not come to the next note session if you do not want to learn how such techniques really work as they emerge in certain future Notes.  Will you be ready?
