If you can really listen totally to what is in just one, single note, you will discover the meaning of all meanings, which has an elegance, an inexhaustible depth of growing understanding.  But normally you do not listen totally.  Your listening (if you will observe it with full attention) has always got some opinion or viewpoint of your own that you use to judge what you hear.  So you cannot listen with open, innocent simplicity of being, with inner silence.  There is always an injection of your particular knowledge, conclusions, beliefs or disbeliefs, prejudices.  So, before you go on to the next note, will you suspend your usual brain-setting with its noise of argument and contradiction? Remember: each note needs open, total listening or there is no benefit worth anything for you in all this.

Let’s be very clear about the way of reading and listening, of the need of an inner quiet depth without intellectual argument or emotional reaction.  Even a gushing, positive emotion of admiration should be seen as a useless disturbance with its own secret hopes and demands.  Can you face all this clearly right now even before you go on to the next note?

Can you be relaxed but keenly alert when you go into this note? Do you understand what is the real challenge for you here?  Do you see the need to look beyond mere words?  Words can either carry or block a vibration, a transmission of pure meaning or an energy of higher intention.  Words block where there is confusion, where there is only an outer form of communication on the surface.  To unblock, there must be a telepathic communion, an alert, empathetic awareness of inner truth.  Then and only then can the incredible thing happen for you as we go along here.

This note is for the extremely rare total listener who will commune in the unlimited inner space of pure being, who will not bring some neurotic problem or confusion into all this.

Most of our readers here cannot listen with total depth and scope.  They want some result from all this that they have in mind, they want to achieve a neurotic goal of the social self that is absorbed in the state of the world and the problems of collective dullness, distraction and pretence.  So they miss what all this is really about.  If they cannot use something here to help them succeed with some neurotic ambition or desire, they become disappointed and go away or they stay and shout their nonsense into the wind, but in either case, they cannot withstand the Power of Notes.  They cannot see that they are simply not handling the energy of all this.  The social self is easily overloaded when it receives something from an anonymous, non-social source.  It cannot receive what it receives because it has an agenda.

As long as you are comparing, computing and conquering for your own social self (your neurotic ego that worries about who you can influence or how others seem to have great influence) you cannot truly listen and hear the beauty of all this, which is beyond social influencing.

There will be further notes, further sessions, but they will be useless for you if you cannot come upon an inner silence of real being in your awareness.  Only very rare people will appreciate the importance of this issue.  “Many are called but few are chosen.”  Real and pure being chooses only those who set aside their own choices and neurotic purposes.
