Power Lessons
Power Lesson Eighteen

According to Nagual Juan Matus:

Silent knowledge is nothing but direct contact with intent.”

The Lesson:

In the position of your Tonal, your social self, you can get excited about Power or greedily seek it because you hope to relieve your boredom with ordinary, unmagical life or else you hope to have special powers you can show off to attract people and have them do things for you.  With such stupid motivations, you are not going toward the Nagual, the Spirit Self, but away from it.  Instead of achieving direct contact with intent, you only achieve contact with other people about Power, but without Power.  Nor will becoming a hermit put you directly in contact with intent either because avoiding people is still about people and not about the Spirit or intent.

The profound technique of Silent Knowledge is a shift in your position of consciousness.  Merely going for walks in solitude out in nature trying to do effortless mediation along the lines of J. Krishnamurti will, again, not take you to the magical world of Nagual Intent, but only to J. Krishnamurti or Zen Buddhism or some other popular teaching.

The fact is that you have to develop a real feeling for all this.  If it is not somehow natural for you to find yourself in the world of Naguals as a Free Spirit Individual, there is not going to be Silent Knowledge or direct contact with Intent, no matter what you do or books you read or people you meet who seem to be connected with Nagualism.

There is no artificial method of developing a real feeling for Nagual things.  You either belong in all this or you don’t.  That is something only Power can decide.  It is not up to you, never was and never will be.  This is because your everyday social self is nothing, stupid, unmagical and pretentious.
